So...all this and MORE has caused us to make the decision to homeschool our children. The time will be far more flexible and my kids will be less stressed and in the long run..probably learn a great deal more.

homeschool
I miss the Colorado Springs, CO school system. They were soooo smart! They built a new elementary school for every new home division built. Here, in Florida, they are not so smart. They build, build and then they just build the school bigger. So...the schools are 1,000 kids full. Yikes! It is major crowd control to pick up your kiddos. Also...there is no playground...as there is NO recess. Ridiculous. We complain about childhood obesity but let our kids out for a 15 minute breather. My middle schoolers were getting on the bus at 8:30 am and returning home by 5:00pm. Enough time to get homework done and go to bed.

I'm so excited for you. We LOVE homeschooling! Just getting to be with my kiddos all day is such a blessing. Hope you'll love it too.
Cool! I am planning on home schooling Joshua in Jan. Are you going with a particular curriculum?
Jen..I am using a virtual school for the three older kids and I am putting together a bunch of different resources for my two youngest...K & PreK.
