good friday

I love that this Friday...the day that we remember the cross and the crucifixion of our Lord, Jesus is called good. Today...Jesus accomplished part of what he came to do on this earth. Die. Not only die but in His death He took on our sins, our sicknesses, our weaknesses. He took it all. Innocent. Guiltless. A sheep taken to be slaughtered. His death was our only hope. Without this sacrifice for us..we would be forever lost and separated from God. "While we were yet sinners"and before we even knew we needed Him, He gave. The LOVE, the FORGIVENESS, the REDEMPTION, the VICTORY and the HOPE we now have in Him started today at the cross. God sent His Son...before we even knew we needed Him. God is good.
