visitor

We had a visitor in our yard.
I really don't know what kind of turtle it is.
Do you know?

That would be your, eh, proboscis turtle, more commonly known as the pointy nosed turtle in the lower regions of the US.
In the northern states it's referred to as the, uh, streisand tortoise.

(said with a Bostonian accent, ala Cliff Claven)

Very cool. I love amphibians. What type of markings does he have on his back?

Jan..I don't know now! I don't believe it really had any. :) Its face is amazing looking. From the locals here..it is quite rare to see one out of the water. :)
